As first reported by Brian Howell, CU had sold 9,650 tickets for the spring game as of Friday morning.

Look, I get it. When you go from 47,277 fans braving a spring snowstorm in 2023 to just 9,650 tickets sold a week out in 2025, it feels like the energy might be dipping a bit.

But let’s take a breath and chill for a second.

This ain’t a panic moment for Colorado football. In fact, this spring game might be one of the most important and underrated spring games we’ve had in the Coach Prime era.

There’s no denying it—2023 was a circus. Coach Prime's arrival turned Boulder into the epicenter of college football. Fast forward to 2025, and we’re in a different phase of the journey. The Buffs aren’t a novelty anymore. They’re a real team in a real conference (Big 12, baby!), and they’re coming off a nine-win season—their best in eight years.

Fans showing up on April 19 will be the first to see five-star QB Julian Lewis sling it live in a CU jersey. That alone should be enough to get you to Folsom.

The Heisman Trophy will be there. You’ve got Field Day for the kids, inflatables, meet-and-greets with CU athletes, behind-the-scenes tours of the Champions Center, and a Jr. Buffs Spirit Clinic for the little ones.

And maybe that’s what this spring game is really about now: community. The hype is still there—it’s just matured. We're not the shiny new story anymore, but we're a program that's actually building something really, really special.

Yeah, we might not pack 47,000 into Folsom this year. That’s fine.

The Buffs are better, deeper, and more dangerous than they’ve been in a long time. And on April 19, we get our first real look at a team Coach Prime has actually built, not just inherited.

So if you’re on the fence about going? Just go. Be part of this ride.
