Deion Sanders didn't take a break during the bye week. Instead, Colorado football's head coach was communicating with his staff ahead of the Buffs' biggest game of the season against No. 18 K-State, per On SI's Jason Jones.

"Even as the head coach, Sanders took advantage of the bye week to refresh himself, returning to Texas to 'recalibrate his mind,'" Jones prefaced before saying, "However, he never fully detached from his responsibilities. Even while away, he maintained constant communication with his staff, making sure they were prepared for the upcoming match against Colorado’s former Big 8 rivals, Kansas State.

"For him, the bye week isn’t a break from his commitment; it’s an opportunity to return with renewed energy."

Coach Prime wasn't just gameplanning for K-State, either. Sanders set up recruiting visits for long-term flip target Julian Lewis, who is still committed to USC, and Keelon Russell, Alabama's potential Jalen Milroe successor, over the next several weekends.

Strike while the iron is hot, I suppose. Colorado is 4-1 and only has one bad loss on the resume to Nebraska. K-State could be their toughest challenge to date so far, and the sting of the Huskers loss could still stick with them. On the flip side, it may be motivating them. We'll know on October 12.

Shilo's return will be a big one for the Buffs against the Wildcats in Week 7. Jones stressed that Shilo was a difference-maker in CU's secondary.

"Since joining the Buffaloes in Boulder, Sanders has been a pivotal player in the secondary," Jones prefaced before saying, "His hard-hitting style, football IQ, and tenacity have made him one of the key defenders on the team. Shilo has thrived under his father's leadership, helping to instill a winning mentality in the Colorado locker room. His likely return against the Wildcats could be a difference-maker, as the Buffs look to secure a statement victory under the national spotlight."

Let's hope that's a positive difference from Coach Prime's middle child -- Sanders' one son who is always guaranteed to be competing for last on Deion's children ranking.

Aka the greatest gameday interview gimmick in the sport.
