Quentin Gibson earned a spot on the Football Writers Association of America's 25th Anniversary Freshman All-American Team.
He was nominated as a return specialist.
Gibson played in all 12 games for the Buffs this season, mainly featured on special teams with occasional offensive snaps.
The true freshman ranked sixth nationally with 597 return yards, just 108 behind Baylor's Kole Wilson, who led all of college football.
He topped all true freshmen with 626 return yards between kickoff and punt returns, outpacing the next closest by 120 yards.
This marks Colorado's fifth recipient of this award and second returner to earn it.
Former five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton, now departed from the team, received this award in 2024.
Seaton declared his entry into the transfer portal through his Instagram earlier this week.
Gibson caught 15 passes for 71 yards with no touchdowns this season. His best showing was four catches on the road in a blowout loss against Utah.
In new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion's 'Go-Go' offense, Gibson and new commits Kam Perry, Danny Scudero, and Ernest Campbell will likely feature prominently in slot positions within the up-tempo scheme.
Colorado recently added Texas wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr., giving quarterback Julian Lewis yet another option to throw to.
Plus, Joseph Williams will play opposite Moore, and he will provide another dynamic receiving option.
