Deion Sanders' candid confession on his bond with Terry Saban
"Miss Terry knows the ball," was the first reaction of every CU fan, including Romi Bean, when Terry Saban gave a stern, polarising opinion favoring Colorado to win over her husband Nick Saban, who favored UCF, on ESPN's College Gameday ahead of the Week 5 matchup between the Buffs and Knights.
Deion Sanders had to give her a special shoutout for choosing them as opposed to her husband, now that they had spectacularly won over UCF. On "Coach Prime's Playbook with Romi Bean," Sanders addressed, or rather lauded, Miss Terry for making the right pick in support of their "good friend Deion."
"Let me tell you something. On our lowest moments last season… I put my morning messages out and it’ll be a text on from her just encouraging me and motivating me and I absolutely love this so I thank her for having our backs," Coach Prime said, expressing gratitude with all his heart.
Deion Sanders' praise for Miss Terry goes a long way back
Miss Terry meant it when she said Deion Sanders was their "good friend." Ever since he got into the limelight as a head coach, Coach Prime has been vocal about all the support he got from Nick Saban, and how he taught him the CFB coaching fundamentals.
Along with his gratitude for Coach Saban, Sanders has also voiced his gratefulness for Miss Terry's support on the way. This was not the first time Sanders thanked Miss Terry genuinely for supporting them at their lowest; i.e. whenever they lost a game last season.
"Terry, his wife (is amazing)," Sanders said on the Joel Klatt show earlier in June. "Mrs. Saban needs to teach a masterclass on how to do it. With all the women that are alongside the man. She is unbelievable. Just after getting your but kicked and then you go back and look at your phone and you got a message from Mrs. Terry is unbelievable."
With Colorado back on track for the season, Miss Terry's cheers are expected to grow only louder.
