Early in the second quarter of his preseason debut, Shedeur Sanders delivered a strike to Kaden Davis for a Cleveland Browns touchdown. Sanders fit the ball in between two defenders, while drifting to his left, into a window that not many veteran quarterbacks would have even seen.
It put his pinpoint accuracy on full display, further showing that he has the skills to be a legitimate franchise quarterback in the NFL. He just needs time to develop.
His Dad Deion Sanders has noticably been absent from Training Camp and isn't in attendance for the preseason opener. It's what Shedeur has preferred, so he can just quietly put in the work and get better without the added media circus that Coach Prime would bring with him.
For a while now, Coach Prime has coached Shedeur and looked at him as one of his players. Watching his preseason debut on Friday night, he can just be a Dad and enjoy watching his son living out his dream.

Shedeur Sanders finding instant NFL success is no surprise to Coach Prime
People tend to have a problem with Shedeur Sanders because they see him as cocky. Maybe so, but it's his confidence that allows him to make throws like the one that resulted in his first NFL touchdown pass.
He also comes by it honestly. People disliked Deion Sanders during his playing days - and maybe more so now that he's a prominent college football coach - for the same reasons. But Coach Prime instills that confidence in his players, and his kids. And Prime was more than confident that his son was going to show out in his NFL debut.
Speaking at Colorado's annual Media Day earlier on Friday, Sanders had this to say about this son's forthcoming NFL debut:
"A lot of people are approaching it like a preseason game," Coach Prime said about Shedeur. "He's approaching it like a game. That's how he's always approached everything...he's thankful and appreciative of the opportunity.
"He's going to be a problem out there tonight...I promise you that."
Shedeur Sanders' debut hasn't been without its hiccups, but he has flashed the immense potential he possesses.
