Deion Sanders Jr. is never the one to back off from a challenge, especially if it's issued by their upcoming opponents coming in with a fierce competitive spirit. Often the one to dish out challenges to his opponents, Sanders Jr. was more than happy to take on the challenge issued by Kansas' DB ahead of their upcoming high-stakes game.
"These boys ain’t talking sh*t, this how it’s supposed to be," Sanders Jr. tweeted, replying to the gutsy statements issued by Kansas Jayhawks, their next opponents' DB Cobee Bryant.
"I'm not going to lie, I have been waiting. I already marked this on my notes, I already know this is the game... I've been waiting on this game all season, this is gonna be the game," Bryant said, showing his thrill to take on the Buffaloes' Travis Hunter by the horn.
Bryant also showed his impatience to fight CU on Saturday on his other social media accounts, where he wrote, "Now I'm p*ss hurry tf up Saturday I meant that omm bet."
The KU DB has rolled out plenty of trash talk like this all week long and even had some more trash talk via text with Shedeur Sanders. It has only charged up the Buffs sure -- but sorely underestimating the Jayhawks DB could also turn out to be a big mistake, given how high the stakes are for this game.
The thrill from both ends is only natural. The Jayhawks can re-establish themselves at the end of the season if they beat the College Football Playoff ranked No. 16 as an unranked team.
Colorado, on the other hand, will get a boost in their CFP rankings if they win this one against Kansas, and their next one against Oklahoma State, possibly even ending up in the initial Top-12 teams to enter the playoffs.
Least to say, it will be a bloodbath at the Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.
