Deion Sanders Jr. reveals the 'legendary' moment Shedeur Sanders missed making against Arizona
Deion Sanders Jr. gave his brother Shedeur Sanders away to the public when he revealed that the Colorado football QB chickened out of creating an iconic moment that he had practiced for days.
Colorado swooped away Arizona in a dominant 34-7 win on Saturday, but there could have been another highlight to their day: Shedeur making an iconic behind-the-back pass. The QB had a change of heart last minute though, making a regular pass; especially when Shedeur had practiced for since "before the UCF game," as Bucky posted on X.
During the Arizona game, Shedeur thought of doing it after all, asking Bucky "Should I do the behind-the-back pass or not?" a couple of times. However, when the time actually came, Sheduer judged the situation and made a calculative move, that turned out to be perfectly accurate as the ball landed right in the other Buffs player's hands.
It was smart of Shedeur to not wager his team's score for his personal moment.

Against Arizona, the projected No. 1 2025 draft pick tallied for 250 yards and accounted for three touchdowns. However, the QB believed that their not-so-usual scoring pattern was what stood out about the game and also gave them the advantage of a lopsided win.
"We're in good shape and we always play well in the second half, but it was imperative to get off to a tremendous start in the first half,” Sanders said (h/t Times Union). “That's what we focused on.”
The QB proved why he is an NFL-ready, touted first-overall pick with his decision to postpone an iconic moment for when the time's right.
