Deion Sanders Jr. ripped for viral incident with Texas Tech ball boy
Deion Sanders Jr. was ripped by the Heartland College Sports staff for his viral moment during Colorado's 41-27 win over Texas Tech in which he pushed a Red Raiders ball boy for trying to retrieve the game ball after Shilo Sanders recovered a fumble and scored a touchdown. The title of their article was "Somebody Needs to Tell Deion Sanders Jr. He’s 30 Years Old," while Bucky was scolded for not setting a good example for his younger brothers.
"Could the Red Raiders’ ball boy have waited for a better time to ask for the ball back? Sure, but his attempt to retrieve the ball wasn’t outside the scope of his duties — it’s his job. I’ve got to give him credit, though. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the situation the way that he did," HCS's News Desk wrote.
"How the camera boy — a 30-year-old man — reacted was outside the scope of his duty, and candidly, it’s a bad look for the Sanders family. It was clear that the misunderstanding fired up both Shilo and Shedeur, and their handling of it was acceptable, given the situation. However, Junior’s reaction was way over the top, and he needs to be held to a higher standard, given his position as the oldest brother and someone that players probably look up to—well, figuratively speaking."
Deion Sanders Jr. won't back down from anyone
Bucky has battled pundits and taken on hordes of anti-Colorado trolls on social media. This scuffle isn't out of the ordinary, and in truth, it's not getting much traction on a national scale.
As the Buffs continue to beat everyone in front of them and contend for a Big 12 Championship, the focus will remain on the action on the field.
Not an overemotional scrap on the sidelines that went viral afterwards.
