Colorado is making their excitement to take down Texas Tech Raiders on November 9 loud and clear.
The Red Raiders might have set the tone about their expectations with their close call 23-23 win against Iowa this Saturday, but Colorado football isn't backing away from the challenge. Rather, they are making their anticipation public.
Deion Sanders Jr., the unofficial social media guru of all things Colorado, announced CU's readiness to square off against Texas Tech with all bells and whistles with a blunt challenge.
"Turn Up Texas Tech!," Jr. tweeted.
If Colorado can defeat Texas Tech in Week 11, Buffs can keep College Football Playoff hopes alive
Colorado paved its way to bowl eligibility with their dominant 34-23 win against Cincinnati in Week 9. They only needed a spot in the top 12 teams, the likes of which look pretty high after a wild week 10 that gave them every upset they needed.
Additionally, Colorado needs to dodge losses like a bullet if they want a spot in the playoffs. Which means taking Texas Tech down on the upcoming Saturday. However, the way the Red Raiders established their formidability by unraveling the undefeated giants this season show their readiness to climb on top of the ladder as well.
CU faces one of its stiffest challenges left in Lubbock. Utah, Kansas, and Oklahoma State all fell well short of the expectations many had for them. Time will tell if K-State and Iowa State are set to fall off with them.
Colorado and Texas Tech may be battling for the Big 12's sheriff mantle on November 9.
