Deion Sanders lauded for Colorado football's recruiting power play on UCF
Deion Sanders pulled some "gangster s***" in inviting several UCF to the Bounce House for Colorado football's 48-21 trouncing of the Knights and flipping one of their recruits. That's how FOX Sports' Aaron Torress labeled it, anyway.
"Deion Sanders using Colorado's game at UCF to: 1. Kick the crap out of UCF, 2. Invite all the best HS players in Florida and turn it into an unofficial Colorado recruitng event...Is some of the most gangster s**t I've ever seen," Torres tweeted in response to Christian Hudson's flip to CU.
Hudson is a three-star DL who can play NT or in a 4-3, per 247Sports' Andrew Ivins.
"A potential spark plug in the middle," Ivins prefaced before saying, "Two-way lineman for a decorated Mainland program that makes things happen on both sides of the ball. Under 6-foot-1, but finds ways to win with leverage and effort. Initially was viewed by some colleges as an offensive lineman at the next level, but made it clear he wants to chase quarterbacks after racking up nine sacks as an 11th grader. Impressive snap anticipation jolts him forward while active hands allow him to disengage and swipe past would-be blockers. Oftentimes aware of his surroundings and is agile enough to stop and retrace. Also has a knack for getting his hands up in passing lanes despite being on the smaller side. Might lack the ideal measurables, but projects as a win-at-all-cost interior defender that can push pockets. Likely to find most success in an even front, but has experience working out of a variety of different alignments."
Deion Sanders building Colorado football's Class of 2025 slowly
Coach Prime's recruiting plan calls for only a few high school recruits each cycle. The 2025 class has nine commits as of October 25. Two of them are blue chips. Thus far, the Class of 2025 is coming along slowly as the No. 83 class.
No worries. Colorado is a portal-heavy team that will be big game hunting in the offseason.
Julian Lewis is still in play at QB. The Carrollton's star's commitment could lead to many more high school recruits. Undoubtedly, Lewis is a potential game-changer for the Class of 2025.
