Deion Sanders makes history through the first six games of Colorado football's season
Just halfway through the season, Colorado football has already amassed a staggering viewership. But that's not new or surprising. However, the Colorado Buffs' being each of their opponents' most viewed games this season in a mere six games is.
Per Blue Blood Bias, each of the CU's games was also the most-viewed game of their rival this season:
-North Dakota State's most-watched game: at Colorado (4.8M)
-Nebraska's most-watched game: vs Colorado (6.3M)
-CSU's most-watched game: vs Colorado (3.2M)
-Baylor's most-watched game: at Colorado (3.6M)
-UCF's most-watched game: vs Colorado (4.1M)
-K-State's most-watched game: at Colorado (3.3M)
Looking at the numbers Coach Prime and Co. are so effortlessly amassing, if they get into the playoff, that viewership number would be unfathomable; unlike anything ever seen in recent-past of college football.
Colorado football still a contender for the Big 12 Championship
If Colorado can achieve this viewership in regular season games, it will only be a couple of million views more if they get into playoffs and a historic number if they get to the Big 12 title.
But can they?
Other than boasting the most viewers, Deion Sanders' team is 4 wins and 2 losses. The Buffs had a solid chance of sneaking into Big 12 Championship talks had they won their previous 28-31 clash against Kansas State.
However, now that they have a pair of losses, they'll need to put up a fierce fight the rest of the way to become relevant again.
Regardless of what happens, we know the world will be watching.
