Deion Sanders’ famous kids rankings may always be changing, but after this weekend, there does not seem to be much debate about who currently holds the top spot.
After Shelomi Sanders graduated from Alabama A&M University with a degree in sports management, Coach Prime delivered a message that immediately caught attention across social media.
“My Babygirl Got her Degree! Wow! I’m proud of all my children but @shelomisanders is my FAVORITE one,” Sanders posted.
That declaration came the morning after Deion Sanders traveled to Normal, Alabama to witness Shelomi receive her Bachelor’s degree from Alabama A&M.
Although he did not officially update the full Sanders family rankings like he has so many times in the past, Coach Prime made it pretty clear who currently holds the No. 1 spot.
It was a special day for Shelomi with older brothers Deion Sanders Jr. and Shedeur Sanders both in attendance.
The timing made the celebration even more meaningful for the Sanders family. Just last week, Shedeur returned to Boulder and graduated from University of Colorado during a ceremony at Folsom Field.
Shelomi also reflected on the accomplishment in a social media post of her own.
“This chapter shaped me, the degree was always the plan,” Shelomi wrote.
Shelomi started her college basketball career at Jackson State University before later following her father to Colorado.
The moment quickly turned into a family-wide celebration.
Among those congratulating Shelomi in the comments were Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receivers Terrell Owens and Randy Moss, two players who know plenty about Deion Sanders and the spotlight that follows him.
Shedeur also joined in with a heartfelt message of his own.
“Congrats @shelomisanders for graduating and also bringing the family together,” Shedeur wrote on Instagram.
That line carried a little extra meaning after Shelomi shared a video showing both Deion Sanders and Pilar Sanders together during the celebration. Her caption joked about finally getting the former couple in the same room again.
“Look at how close I got them,” Shelomi wrote alongside hashtags including “#familyreunion,” “#together,” and “#doitforthekids.”
For a family that has spent so much of the past several years in the public eye through football, reality shows and social media, the graduation celebration felt more personal than anything else.
While Shelomi has now graduated, her college journey is not finished yet. She also plans to pursue a Master’s degree while playing her final season of basketball at Colorado State University Pueblo.
