Deion Sanders shares clapback at former U.S. President
Deion Sanders wasn't afraid to call out Barack Obama by name after the 44th President took Arizona's side in front of a crowd in Tuscon ahead of Colorado's eventual 34-7 beatdown of the Wildcats.
“President Obama is everything to me,” Sanders said (h/t USA Today). “I mean, I love him, I admire him. I respect him tremendously. But I heard what he said, you know?
“President, I heard what you said, man. Like c’mon, c’mon. That’s why I really don’t get into politics. I’m into people. Because politicians, they play the political game, and he was here and had to play the political games that they have two good players. We got more than two good players. But then you’re here (in Tucson), so you have to support that. But president, c’mon man. You my man. I love you, I appreciate you, but c’mon dawg. God bless you. I still love you.”
Did Deion Sanders endorse Donald Trump for President?
During a recent appearance on the Nelk Boys podcast, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed Coach Prime endorsed him for the upcoming election. But while Sanders and Trump have a relationship from the early 2000s -- Trump almost sold Sanders on a luxury Manhattan apartment -- there is no official endorsement from Colorado's head football coach to anyone in the race.
Coach Prime knows what's best for business. Endorsing any political candidate alienates half of America. The 2024 political election is particularly polarizing.
So don't expect Coach Prime to back anyone this November.
