Deion Sanders has strong opinion on Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy
Deion Sanders is one of the bigger Mike Gundy fans out there.
Coach Prime discussed the Oklahoma State head football coach ahead of Colorado's regular season finale against the Cowboys and shared nothing but admiration about Gundy's coaching style and personality.
“We have a tremendous task at hand,” Sanders said (h/t Pistols Firing). “This team, just like the last one (Kansas), they’re not playing indicative of their record. They’re much better. They have a winning program, one of the most heralded coaches in the Big 12, and he’s been that way for a while.
“I have the utmost respect for him, and he is flat-out hilarious to me. I mean, just seeing him sit at the head table like the grand poobah of the Big 12 meetings. Like, he’s our guy. I got a lot of love and admiration for him, and I start smiling when I think of him and I watch his press conferences. And he is honest, real and hilarious because there’s a lot of truth in all his humor. So, I got the utmost respect for he and his team.”
Gundy's personality has gotten him in a bit of trouble this season. Gundy shared a lengthy tirade aimed at vocal fans who felt weren't successful in their own lives.
“Unfortunately, in life, most people are weak and as soon as things start to not go as good as that they thought, they fall apart and panic. And then they want to point the finger,” Gundy said. "In most cases, the people that are negative and voicing their opinions are the same ones that can't pay their own bills. They're not taking care of themselves, their own family, or their own job. But they have an obligation to speak out and complain about others because it makes them feel better."
Gundy certainly has no hate towards the Sanders family. He complimented Shedeur and hasn't spoken negatively of Deion at all. Don't expect him to at any point.
