Ever since Coach Prime touched down in Boulder, one thing's been a focus — family.

That tradition just got even stronger. Domata Peko Jr., son of new Buffs defensive line coach (and former NFL vet) Domata Peko, officially announced his commitment to Colorado.

Peko Jr., who spent last season at College of the Canyons, brings size (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) and pedigree to a defense that’s looking to reload. He posted two sacks and three tackles for loss last year and showed the kind of motor that Buffs fans love — relentless, gritty, and physical.

Peko Jr. visited Boulder during the Spring Game and you could tell — it wasn’t a business trip. It was home. Now, he's locked in and plans to join the squad in December after finishing up at Ventura College.

Also, keep an eye out: His younger brother, Joseph Peko, a 2026 prospect, has an offer on the table too. The Peko pipeline might just be getting started.

With the departure of pass rusher Taje McCoy to Oklahoma State, the Buffs need fresh firepower off the edge. Domata Peko Jr. could be the next man up to keep CU’s Big 12-best pass rush rolling.
