If Coach Prime is going to do something, he's going to do it big. That includes going above and beyond for the simple things - like recruiting offer letters.
August 1st was the first day that written revenue-sharing agreements/offer letters could be sent to recruits. Recruits from around the country posted videos and pictures to their social media channels revealing what the program they are committed to sent them. They all pale in comparison to what Deion Sanders and Colorado sent out.
4-star safety Preston Ashley, the top-rated recruit currently committed to Colorado for the 2026 class, posted his offer letter on X on Saturday morning. You have to see it to believe it.

The outside of the offer looks cool enough, but the inside is what sets it off. In the video, Ashley opens it up and reveals a folder full of trading cards. On top is a PSA-graded card of Ashley in his Colorado gear. Behind that is a bunch of NFL trading cards to showcase the vast experience of this Colorado coaching staff.
Deion Sanders and Colorado are showcasing the NFL experience on this coaching staff
There's a ton of NFL experience on the Colorado coaching staff, a fact that Deion Sanders consistently points out. If you look at the cards in the offer letter, you'll see that fact elucidated. There are cards of Marshall Faulk, Warren Sapp, and, of course, Coach Prime himself.
Sanders pointed out at Big 12 Media Days that the Colorado staff had 160 years of NFL experience. They added more years to that with the recent addition of former NFL QB and OC Byron Leftwich.
Colorado faces an uphill battle in the 2026 recruiting class. They are behind the eight-ball with just 10 total commitments and desperately need a big run this fall in order to climb the rankings. The Buffs rank No. 80 in this cycle, even after adding a commitment from 3-star OL Ben Gula on Friday night.
It seems likely to be only a matter of time before Sanders and Colorado get hot on the trail. They'll keep going above and beyond with little things like that offer letter to entice recruits to Boulder.
