ESPN's Elle Duncan had a lot to say about the possibility of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders ending up on the NY Giants during the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. Duncan, who famously ripped Daniel Jones before he was released by New York's front office midseason, believes there's a way for the Giants to give the "Grown QB" a winning situation.
"Giants fans are so angry at me, but I know I was right. I stated categorical facts [about Daniel Jones]: $105 million, one playoff win. The Giants would be so lucky to have Shedeur. Now, they need to shore up that offensive line. The good news for Shedeur is that — especially last year — Colorado has not exactly been known for their stout offensive line. So, he’s used to having to scramble a little bit, and obviously he’s wiggly and … can move and all those things. They would need to get him a couple of more weapons, but I think he would thrive in New York. And I think there is no family made more for a major market like New York than the Sanders primetime family — absolutely," Duncan said (h/t Rolling Out).
The Giants are not Shedeur's preferred NFL landing spot. That'd be the Las Vegas Raiders. Of course, ESPN isn't going to have analysts ignore any other possibility. Realistically, the Giants and Jets are the only other teams with big needs at QB.
Deion has made it clear with his comments to Antonio Pierce at this past year's Super Bowl that he wants his sons in Vegas. Tom Brady made that possibility even stronger by buying a minority ownership stake in the team.
Still, you're going to see the GMen linked to Shedeur until draft day. Cam Ward is really the one who'll more than likely be wearing blue next year, though.
