NY Giants LB Isaiah Simmons loves the idea of Shedeur Sanders being drafted by Big Blue and becoming the Big Apple's new QB savior. Simmons predicts Shedeur would have a Jayden Daniels-like impact on the GMen.
“I think he’s a guy who can come here and really transform things,” Simmons said Sunday after the Giants lost, 35-14, to the Ravens to fall to 2-12 on the season, per The New York Post. “Anywhere he goes, I think he’s going to be a very, very valuable piece. Kind of like a Jayden Daniels effect. You see what Jayden’s done . I could see something like that happening with Shedeur as well — wherever he ends up.
“I think Shedeur is an elite quarterback. We all see what he can do. I think whatever team he goes to, he can bring a lot. He’s just like a really knowledgeable guy, which you expect when his dad is one of the best to do it. You can tell he’s got everything he needs to be a pro.”
Shedeur has not been subtle about his interest in the Las Vegas Raiders. It's unclear if the viral NYC catch he had with Giants WR Malik Nabers was to throw many off the scent or if it was him declaring New York as a 2025 NFL draft option.
If the Giants are an option, they'll have three more weeks to tank for Shedeur as the NFL regular season approaches the finish line.
