The former Missouri defensive end is making a trip to Boulder this weekend during Colorado’s spring game festivities—and the timing couldn’t be better.
Missouri EDGE Jahkai Lang will visit SMU on Thursday and Colorado on Saturday, per his agents @noah_reisenfeld and @Adie_vongontard.

Lang, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound edge rusher from Troy, Missouri, posted 14 tackles and three sacks during the 2024 season with the Tigers. Now, he’s in the portal and eyeing the Buffs as a potential new home.
What’s more, there’s already a connection: Lang was formerly teammates with current Buffs edge rusher Arden Walker, who also started his college career at Mizzou. That kind of familiarity can’t be overlooked when it comes to fit and comfort in a new program.
With three years of eligibility remaining, Lang isn't just a short-term rental—he’s a long-term investment. And if you watched Colorado’s defense in 2024, you know fresh help on the edge could be just what this team needs. The Buffs gave up 34.6 points per game last season and ranked in the bottom half of the Big 12 in sacks.
Lang brings SEC-level experience and untapped potential. He redshirted in 2023 and took a leap forward in 2024. The frame is there. The motor is there. The production is starting to show.
Now it’s up to Coach Prime and the staff to close the deal—and Buff Nation to show this kid what Boulder is all about.
