Not only since Shedeur Sanders made his first start, but since he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, this has been a hot topic of conversation in the NFL world.

What is Cleveland’s plan with the signal caller?

ESPN analyst Todd McShay doesn’t truly believe the former Colorado quarterback is in their long-term plans.

Todd McShay doesn't believe Shedeur Sanders has a future in Cleveland

Shedeur is coming off his best professional start with over 364 yards passing and three touchdown passes at home against the Tennessee Titans. His passer rating was 97.7 and he also rushed for one touchdown.

The naysayers will continue to downplay that game because he played the Titans, but fail to acknowledge that the Browns are in the same boat.

Despite his improvement week by week, Sanders needs to limit his costly turnovers. The interception he threw against Tennessee was a momentum killer, and the pass was unnecessary to say the least.

As far as his future in Cleveland is concerned, it will be determined by his play over the past few weeks, as well as Cleveland's decisions regarding its coaching staff.

Do the Browns plan on keeping Kevin Stefanski and Tommy Rees next season, or are they going to make some changes? In the red zone, their playcalling has been a hot topic of conversation as they have taken the ball out of Shedeur’s hands multiple times over the past few games.

Most recently, it was the two-point conversation attempt against the Titans that resulted in a busted play that did not even stand a chance. It was a direct snap to Quinshon Judkins, who had the option of pitching it to Gage Larvadain on the end around, but didn't, resulting in a failed two-point attempt.

It's alarming that this coaching staff would take the ball away from their quarterback, who up until that point, had thrown for more than 300+ yards and accounted for four touchdowns.

However, McShay has a valid point. Shedeur may be auditioning for different teams right now if Cleveland's brass isn't sold on him.
