CBS Sports' Josh Edwards labeled the idea of Deion Sanders coaching Shedeur Sanders in the NFL an "insane" thought for owners in a mock draft he had the "Grown QB" going No. 5 to the New York Giants in.

"Any organization would be insane to hire Deion Sanders as the coach of a team quarterbacked by his son. Sanders has done well to rebuild Colorado and restore its brand recognition, but that is just a huge conflicting interest in personnel decisions. In this mock, the Giants pass on Sanders but draft his son after releasing Daniel Jones," Edwards wrote.

Shedeur to the Giants is heating up with Daniel Jones having been benched and subsequently released. The "Grown QB" had an interesting reaction on his "2Legendary" podcast when co-host Drelon Miller mentioned Big Blue. The door appears open in East Rutherford for Shedeur and Brian Daboll's potential firing will have many connecting Coach Prime to the G-Men.

The Las Vegas Raiders still serve as the most likely landing spot for Shedeur with Tom Brady buying into its ownership group and the "Grown QB" repeatedly making it obvious on social media that he has interest in Sin City. Coach Prime hasn't been connected to the Raiders much.

He has been connected to the Dallas Cowboys, though. Deion raised Shedeur and his brother in the Metroplex and won a Super Bowl with Jerry Jones's franchise. The connection makes sense, especially with Mike McCarthy being a lame duck coach. But Dark Prescott is under contract for four more years. Consider Dallas the longest shot of the teams linked to the Sanders family.
