The FBS oversight committee has denied Colorado and Syracuse's request for a spring practice together.
It's partly due to the late timing, however, we do have hope. The committee mentioned in a statement, they will "...discuss, during a future meeting, a concept that could permit joint spring practices in the future."

That means this idea isn’t dead—just delayed.
For a team looking to take a step forward after a 9-4 season in 2024, extra reps against another Power Five opponent could have been valuable. However, joint practices could be a game-changer down the road. NFL teams do them all the time for a reason. If the FBS allows them in the future, expect Colorado to be at the front of the line.
For now, Buffs fans we will have to settle for a standard spring game on April 19th.
