Patrick Mahomes said what everyone is thinking over Shedeur Sanders draft slide

It's just stunning at this point.

It's almost becoming a sick joke at this point. When Colorado football standout Shedeur Sanders didn't get drafted in the first round, it was something people couldn't believe. Wasn't he a lock to go in the Top 5 at one point?

Then on Friday, things reached a new low for Sanders, as he waited patiently to hear his name called, got prank called, and still didn't get drafted. What in the world? Before the draft, there was buzz he'd go No. 3 to the New York Giants.

How is it possible that he didn't even get selected by the end of Round 3? This indeed was something that no one could believe. This includes superstar Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, who only needed one word to sum up what everyone is thinking right now:

Patrick Mahomes can't believe Shedeur Sanders hasn't gotten drafted

At some point, someone is going to have to take a gamble and draft Sanders, right? There can't be a scenario where all seven rounds come and go and he doesn't get selected. With the way things have gone for him in the first two nights of the draft, however, never say never.

This really is unreal. There has been plenty of speculation that Sanders bombed some interviews with teams this offseason, including one with the Giants. Because of that, Brian Daboll fully crossed him off his board.

This was made clear when the Giants took Abdul Carter with the No. 3 pick and then traded back into the first round to go after signal-caller Jaxson Dart. What on earth did Sanders do during some of these interviews to be a forgotten man like this?

It's such a bummer and Mahomes thinks it's 'crazy' that so many franchises are passing up on him. We fully agree with him there, as Sanders has all the talent needed to make a difference at the next level. Soon enough, we'll know where he'll be calling home next. That moment can't come soon enough.
