Paul Finebaum has learned his lesson, won't pick another fight with Colorado football after Week 13 loss

The once ardent detractor of Deion Sanders has finally flipped his narrative for good this time. Paul Finebaum, the ESPN analyst who didn't think twice before making brutally harsh comments on Colorado and its head coach Deion Sanders after their 4-8 record from last season, finally has no complaints about the Buffs losing a key game on Saturday against Kansas.

More surprisingly, Finebaum lauded Sanders' efforts this season, despite losing a key game that could have gotten them into the playoffs.

"I'm not that surprised by Colorado," Finebaum said on the Paul Finebaum Show (h/t Athlon Sports). "They exceeded expectations this year. I think overall, they've had a fantastic year. They played a really good team the other day. Bad record, but a good team that is ascending at the right time."

Deion Sanders has the chance to prove Paul Finebaum, every believer right

Deion Sanders was brave enough to take accountability post-loss to Kansas with a bold "We controlled our own destiny, and we fumbled it," admission. The real question now: are Deion Sanders and Co. strong enough to pick up where they left off?

They have a strong roster and an even better staff for it. Before they lost 37-21 to the Jayhawks, they were riding a four-game win streak. They might have added another loss to their other two, but they can still finish off in style, as Coach Prime does.
