Athlon Sports reporter offers more details on Colorado football locker room drama, calls out CU's gun culture
Athlon Sports' Steve Corder offered follow-up details on his bombshell Colorado football locker room report -- one that alleged that there have been several fights that Deion Sanders promoted -- during an appearance on the Dan Le Batard Show.
Corder said that gun culture was "rampant" in Colorado's locker room and even took exception to Coach Prime and Travis Hunter having a gun nearby while fishing.
"It's rampant there," Corder said of the gun allegations behind the scenes at CU. "There's a video that's circulating that I found after the piece, where they're asking, I believe it's Bucky, is going around asking who's the most strapped on the team. And people are giving their opinions. It's not just one person. It's multiple people.
"I found a video also last night of Travis Hunter and Deion fishing and there's a gun in plain sight while he's fishing. It seems like it's just part of the culture."
Bucky might not have been asking players what Corder thought he was. And a lot of his other claims are from videos the public hasn't seen.
There's a ton of hearsay here, but very few concrete details. His report wasn't accompanied by much. Just the things that were observable on public social media pages.
Athlon Sports doubles down on Colorado football accusations
Evidently, Athlon Sports isn't backing down from what Corder previously published. In fact, the publication and reporter doubled down by going on the Dan Le Batard Show.
Corder and Athlon Sports either have verified reporting that can't be taken to court successfully, or they are daring Deion and Co. to take legal action.
This story just keeps getting juicier as the days go by. 2024 is going to be a roller coaster ride of epic proportions.
