Big 12 football power rankings after spring portal closes: Did Buffaloes get better?

. 14. . . Head Coach: Kalani Sitake. . Last Year: 5-7. 540. team. BYU

Key losses: Kedon Slovis, Kingsley Suamataia, Isaac Rex Key additions: Jack Kelly, Treyson Bourget, Gerry Bohanon

BYU should be happy to move on from Kedon Slovis. He was unimpressive on the field and didn’t appear to be an inspiring leader off of it. However, Treyson Bourget or Gerry Bohanon, whoever wins the starting job, won’t be able to take this unimpressive roster to a bowl game next year.

One of the biggest strengths of BYU teams under Kalani Sitake is the offensive line, so losing Kingsley Suamataia will hurt, especially because the Cougars don’t have a replacement of his caliber.
