Prominent college football X account Blue Bloods Bias claimed that we shouldn't be shocked if Colorado football pulled off a heist for 4-star Class of 2025 Carrollton quarterback/USC commit Julian Lewis.

"Coach Prime might've just found Colorado's next QB after Shedeur, & this pickup would be the PERFECT fit for the Buffs... The #1 Player in the 2025 Class, 5-star QB Julian 'JuJu' Lewis, is visiting Colorado this weekend," the account prefaced before saying, "Lewis is currently committed to USC, but has been weighing other options recently. And this would be the perfect fit. With Shedeur set to enter the NFL Draft in 2025, Lewis would be able to come into Boulder & start immediately at QB...

"Coach Prime reportedly had dinner with him & his father last night to convince him to commit to Colorado, & his recruitment is progressing well. Deion has pulled off a surprise 5-star commitment every season, with Travis Hunter in 2022, Cormani McClain in 2023, & Jordan Seaton in 2024... Don't be shocked if JuJu Lewis is his 2025 surprise recruit, as the chance to build upon Colorado's momentum will be very compelling for the generational prospect. The Buffaloes are currently expected to take a step forward & compete for the Big-12 Championship next season... And if Lewis comes in the season after, Deion's squad won't miss a beat. CU will continue winning big, even when Coach Prime's sons are gone."

Colorado football landing Julian Lewis a possibility USC media fears

CU being a threat to steal Lewis from USC is something that's actually on the table -- with All Trojans' Eva Geitheim seeing Georgia and Colorado having legitimate chances to land the Peach State star.

"Though Colorado has lost some of their key recruits and commitments after faltering late in the 2023 season and finishing the year 4-8 after a 3-0 start, they do have star power with Deion Sanders as head coach," Geitheim wrote.

"Along with Colorado, Lewis has visited Auburn and plans to visit Georgia in the coming weeks. Given that Lewis goes to Carrollton High School in Georgia, UGA could be a real consideration for him. Alongside Georgia being close to home for Lewis, the Bulldogs have been one of the best college football teams as of late, winning two of the last three National Championships."

Lewis landing with Colorado football remains a long shot since rising recruiting powers like Ohio State and Auburn are in play as well. Being Shedeur Sanders' succession plan is a tough ask of a 2025 freshman, and the transfer portal may be Coach Prime's best bet to keep the program relevant with an upperclassman under center.
