Coach Prime's ex, Tracey Edmonds, set the record straight on how her relationship with the Colorado football head coach ended -- revealing that it was her decision and doing so to clear the air on speculation about the former couple.

“I want to clarify that it was my decision to end the relationship, despite any different narratives being presented,” Edmonds posted on Instagram, according to PEOPLE Magazine via The New York Post. “I’ve chosen to prioritize myself and my family, moving forward towards a future where I am valued, treated with honesty, and free to embrace the happiness and respect I deserve."

Edmonds has two children of her own who she lives with in Los Angeles, and Boulder isn't exactly local to the Valley. Distance has claimed many a relationship, and being Deion Sanders, making millions of dollars from countless ventures in his life, is not exempt.

Tracey Edmonds and Coach Prime's breakup is nothing Colorado football fans need to worry about

Based on Edmonds' message to the world following her split from Coach Prime, Colorado fans need not worry about the latter's personal life getting messy to the point of influencing the results on the field and recruiting trail.

“To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love… We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together,” Edmonds wrote on Instagram (h/t Sports Illustrated). “Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH! 🙏🏽❤️Tracey and Deion.”

What Buffs fans need to actually worry about is building for a future beyond Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter -- and the recent recruiting results certainly point to the possibility of Coach Prime sticking by his word of being in Colorado for the rest of his career.
