Former Colorado football Matt McChesney knows a thing or two about blocking. What he thinks the Buffs' offensive line is capable of should excite any and all CU fans ahead of a season Shedeur Sanders will need top protection during to be Colorado's first top-10 NFL draft pick since Chris Naeole in 1997.

"I saw the offensive linemen they brought in this year, and all these f*** dudes, they are huge, dog," McChesney said on the Zero 2 Sixty podcast (h/t Marca). "They"re super athletic and they're pretty f** nasty. They just look different than they have in the past.

"When I was there, I had to go against guys like Andre Gurode and Victor Rogers every day... That's now what's in Boulder on the offensive line."

With Jordan Seaton and a slew of incoming transfers comprising an entirely rebuilt group, the Buffs once again have many question marks in the offensive trenches. You never know how a unit gels until they play, and the accusations of Deion Sanders and Phil Loadholt's OL of having an underwhelming pedigree are omnipresent.

Buy-in means everything, though, and Sanders is bringing on a class that knows it cannot rest on its laurels less be replaced by a new group next year.

It's possible that cohesion could trump talent and Colorado could have a strength up front; as opposed to a glaring weakness like in 2023.

Travis Hunter called out Colorado football OL while playing EA Sports College Football 25

Travis Hunter, in promotion of the EA Sports College Football 25 video game, live-streamed a game and insulted the Buffs' offensive line -- saying that they "can't block for nothing."

We'd like to think he was talking about the 2023 OL, which was infamous for its lack of protection for Shedeur. But the 2024 roster is the one in the game.

Maybe Hunter was trying to be heard. More motivation for a group that's certainly not lacking it, perhaps?
