Colorado football QB Shedeur Sanders is the best signal-caller in the country according to Buffs running backs coach Gary Harrell -- who stressed that CU's offense is entirely built around the "Grown QB."

“You know, everything is built around the quarterback that we have," Harrell said (h/t On3). "We have the best quarterback in the country. So a lot of things we have are going to fit him, as far as throwing the football and understanding the box and knowing when to change the play, plus, if it’s a running play or stick with the pass.

“So, Coach (Pat) Shurmur is an NFL guy, he understands that. He’s a man that understands the run game. So we’re going to make sure that everything that we have is based on what the defense gives us."

Harrell is certainly an acolyte of Deion Sanders with that supreme confidence. But he isn't the only one who sees Shedeur as a modern great.

Arizona's Noah Fifita believes Shedeur Sanders is 'generational'

More importantly than his own coach, Shedeur has received similar praise from a respected peer: Arizona's Noah Fifita, who believes the "Grown QB" is a "generational" talent.

"He's (Sanders) special," Fifita told The Coloradoan at Big 12 media days. "That's a generational talent for sure. Just watching him and the things that he does, he's very competitive. I know people don't like some of his tactics but as a competitor myself, I love it.

"Whatever it takes to win, everybody has their own style."

Ultimately, the hype is nice, but they won't pay the bills. Shedeur has to help the Buffs take another step forward in order for NFL teams to consider handing him the keys to their franchise.

As much as Coach Prime flexes his NFL connections, there won't be a team that will over-commit to Shedeur because of what Deion did during his playing days.
