Colorado football recruiting game-changer a favorite to start right away
CBS Sports' Shehan Jeyarajah sees Colorado football offensive tackle commit Jordan Seaton, who chose the University of Colorado on December 7 as his collegiate home, as both a game-changer and a favorite to start along the Buffs' offensive line right away.
"Seaton is a game-changer for a Colorado squad in desperate need of juice both on the offensive line and on the recruiting trail," Jeyarajah wrote. "The Class of 2024 recruit would be a favorite to start right away for an offensive line that struggled to protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The Buffaloes gave up 56 sacks, more than any other team in the Power Five, and ranked last nationally in rushing offense."
247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins called Seaton a "potential multi-year starter," which could be translated to "three years at the top of the depth chart and a subsequent NFL draft declaration."
""One of the few offensive line prospects in the 2024 cycle that has a chance to be a left tackle at the game's highest level," Ivins wrote in a scouting report. "Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter for a College Football Playoff contender based on what he put on tape as a 12th grader at IMG Academy, which has churned out plenty of high-profile linemen over the years."
Colorado football recruiting floodgates could soon open
Who didn't believe in Coach Prime? Well, it wasn't difficult to give up after the Buffs lost six straight games to go bowl-ineligible in 2023 and proceeded to lose two of their most valuable recruiters in Sean Lewis and Nick Williams.
It's hard not to believe in what the coaching staff could do now, with the Phil Loadholt hiring already paying massive dividends and the No. 1 offensive lineman in the country calling Boulder home.
It's clear to see that Colorado is coming, as Coach Prime repeated until he was blue in the face. And put on apparel. The rest of the college football world needs to be warned of the imminent recruiting floodgates that will lead to a stocked and loaded CU depth chart, top to bottom, on both sides of the ball beyond just the secondary and the receiving corps.
