Essentially Sports' Khosalu Puro made a strange statement in response to Jordan Seaton comparing himself and the Colorado football quarterback Coach Prime recruited him to protect, Shedeur Sanders, to Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal in an Instagram post.

Puro claimed that the pair's close bond off the field, in addition to the prospective on-field dominance the pair will display in 2024, makes the CU stars comparable to Bryant and O'Neal.

"Standing at 6’5, Jordan Seaton is the sole 5-star recruit that Deion Sanders brought to Colorado for the 2024 season," Puro prefaced before saying, "With Shedeur Sanders with a slighter build at 6’2 and 215 pounds, the pair physically resembles NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant who made one of the best duos. But this comparison might go beyond physical resemblances because the pair seems to share a close bond.

"In addition to (on-field) promise, Jordan Seaton and Shedeur Sanders seem to share a close off-field relationship. Ever since the OT joined the Buffs, he’s been seen hanging out with the QB on numerous occasions, including a shopping day out, hiking to the snowy mountains, and the recent appearance at the CIAA basketball championship tournament, among others. Once the season kicks in and real actions begin, the duo will have a lot to prove to their fans."

Colorado football would win, but not without drama, if Shedeur Sanders and Jordan Seaton were the next Kobe and Shaq

To be clear, despite their on-court dominance, Bryant and O'Neal were known to not get along off the floor. Los Angeles Lakers fans didn't mind the squabbling considering the increased number of banners hanging from the Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) rafters, but the organization was split in half from the drama.

Shedeur and Seaton bringing success to Boulder would be great, but any disagreements between the two in the former's final season could lead to the latter no longer wanting to play for his father moving forward.

Let's hope the Kobe-Shaq comparison only relates to on-field performance.
