All the recent Colorado football social media drama confirms Cormani McClain's criticisms of Buffs head coach Deion Sanders according to Mike Farrell Sports' Scott Salomon; who believes Coach Prime needs to learn to be a coach to his entire roster, not just his favorite players.

"All that this behavior does confirm the criticism that Smith and former Buffalo signee Cormani McClain have levied against Prime," Salomon prefaced before saying, "He appears to lack compassion and does not know how to deal with inferior players. Coach Prime needs to learn how to be a coach for 85 players, whether they have the talent of Hunter or the lack of talent like Smith."

McClain's criticisms were an ode to Dan Lanning, who claimed that playing for Colorado meant you were playing for "clicks" over wins.

“Change the narrative of everyone’s thinking on my name," McClain said of his transfer (h/t AthlonSports). "Be part of a real and a great program that’s going to impact me and my best ability, and ready to get to a new place and get to work.

"I feel like I just don't want to play for clicks. I actually want to be involved with a great, leading program that's going to develop players."

Cormani McClain made waves with decision to transfer from Colorado football

McClain upset a good portion of the locker room, including those seen as leaders with in, with his decision to transfer from the Buffs. After seeing his debut delayed due to behavioral issues off the field, Coach Prime eventually admitted he was proud of McClain's growth throughout the 2023 season.

There won't be a continued redemption story for McClain in Boulder as he continues to find a new post-"Prime Time" home. Thus far, schools have been hesitant to offer him the kind of NIL package that'd seal his commitment.
