Deion Sanders Jr. does not mince his words when criticizing, even if it's his own brother

The pressure of being perfect on-gridiron is at an all-time high in Colorado. So much so, that Deion Sanders Jr. isn't even sparing his own brother Shilo.

The showdown vs. North Dakota State showed the Buffs each area they needed to improve, and for Deion Sanders Jr. it was Shilo Sanders who really needed to focus on being more proficient.

"He was playing like a crash dummy out there," Deion Sanders Jr. 'Bucky' exclaimed on the Zero 2 Sixty podcast.

"You've got to wait for the action to come to you. You can't just go out there crashing into people, especially on third down. It's just dumb." Bucky continued, expressing his displeasure with Shilo's play vs North Dakota State. The CU safety tallied nine tackles, one of which was a loss.

But it was not the nine tallies that infuriated Sanders Jr., it was the personal foul for moving the ball from the 14-yard line to the 7-yard line. On the 3rd-and-sixth play, a pivotal moment where North Dakota State was dominating 17-14 and could have easily won, Shilo Sanders ran through receiver Tyler Terhark, who had no chance at catching an incomplete pass through the red zone.

To add to the shame, that wasn't the only questionable move Sanders made in the game. Twice, Sanders pushed two players out of the bounds, one of which even slammed straight into the stadium wall. Coach Prime, in complete and utter disbelief, threw his hands up in the air after his son's risky play.

All of this combined earned Shilo Sanders the title of a 'dirty' player, furiously by the fans and jokingly by brother Sheduer Sanders.

So what really went wrong with Shilo?

Real reason behind Shilo Sanders' messy play

In his defense, Shilo Sanders played despite being unwell; in addition to nursing a shoulder injury from over the offseason. In his YouTube vlog, Shilo Sanders admitted having flu and cold-like symptoms the night before the all-important season-opener against the Bisons.

"I was not even supposed to play. I was feeling so bad. I had the flu or something," Shilo said, confessing that he had second thoughts about playing against Nebraska.

Although, Shilo believed that he did a good job on the field despite all the criticism.

"I did my job out there," Shilo prefaced before saying, "Shoutout to God."

The "never give up" mindset inherited from his father was on full display throughout Shilo Sanders' performance vs North Dakota State. Fortunately, fate worked in favor of the Buffs on August 29 but they can hardly rely on it again for the September 7 clash against Nebraska Cornhuskers. They need to get it together and put up a strong fight to beat Big Red.
