More and more, it sounds as though Deion Sanders will be a fixture in Boulder as the head coach of the Colorado football program for years to come.

Following the April 27 Black and Gold spring game, Coach Prime revealed what he tells recruits and their parents when they ask him about his long-term future in Boulder -- and it delivered the goods in nearly every way imaginable.

"“I tell them the truth," Sanders said (h/t DNVR's Jake Schwanitz). "I’m a father, not a baby daddy. I don’t follow my kids. I pave roads for my kids. I build generational wealth for my kids, I lead my kids I don’t follow my kids. I’m not that kind of father. I have work to do here. I absolutely love it here, it’s beautiful here. I’m serious, I absolutely love it here I really do. I never thought a young brother from the south would love this part of the country but I really do. I’d love to be more adventurous and see other things [out here]. I don’t really fly fish but I’ve known to be fly when I fish. I love everything about this part of the country and the fan base that we have here. I just want to bless you with a tremendously successful team.”

Deion Sanders plans on being with Colorado football for five to 10 years

Sanders has laid out a timeline of five to 10 more years in Boulder; long after his sons Shilo and Shedeur are in the NFL and his current all-time top recruits Travis Hunter and Jordan Seaton join them.

Hearing him speak with such passion about the city of Boulder and addressing the seemingly awkward fit between the Florida native, who made a name for himself in the cities of Atlanta and Dallas, and the Centennial State should fire up everyone in the state of Colorado.

"Prime Time" may really be here to stay.
