Deion Sanders reportedly built Colorado football pipeline from Florida because of Ron DeSantis

BuffsBeat's Josh Tolle reports that Deion Sanders built a pipeline for Colorado football from the Sunshine State because of Florida's governor, Ron DeSantis, passing an anti-DEI bill that eliminates all DEI offices at the state's public universities.

"While the mob wants to see the 'Prime Effect' play outside of Boulder, why would he leave CU for anywhere else? Not to mention, anywhere in Florida after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed controversial anti-DEI legislation that discriminates against major institutions," Tolle prefaced before saying, "So much so, NAACP Board of Directors Chairman Leon Russell and President and CEO Derrick Johnson wrote a letter to the NCAA urging black athletes to avoid Florida schools. This is a major reason why Sanders and his staff have established a recruiting pipeline from the Sunshine State."

In all likelihood, Coach Prime was probably going to recruit top players from his home state anyway. Florida, along with Texas, Georgia, and California, are talent-rich and often produce the best players in the country; often ranking at or near the top of the state-by-state rankings.

Deion Sanders hired Devin Rispress to help out Florida to Colorado football pipeline

Sanders hired Devin Rispress out of Florida A&M back in January to strengthen the Buffs' Florida pipeline. Rispress was with the Rattlers for two seasons as their Director of Recruiting and now sports the title of Assistant Director Of Player Personnel And High School Relations in Boulder.

In February, Rispress revealed that his gameplan is to maintain the relationships he forged with recruits in high school during his Florida A&M career, both in the state of Florida and throughout the southeast.

Rispress would offer 5-star recruits while with the Rattlers, so his plan is to give them a bigger platform -- perhaps the biggest platform in the sport at this point -- with Coach Prime's Buffs.
