Deion Sanders shared that he has a bond with the other 23 head coaches he was hired with during the 2022/23 cycle -- specifically naming Nebraska's Matt Rhule and ASU's Kenny Dillingham as guys he's rooting for.

"I have a ton of respect for [coach] Matt Rhule," Sanders said via Kyle Bonagura of ESPN (h/t Sports Illustrated). "He's in—I call it our class of coaches. We all took on a tremendous test last year along with [Arizona State] coach (Kenny) Dillingham and several others. So, I feel like we're a fraternity. So, I root for that class of head coaches that came in that year."

Sanders said this within the context of it being game week ahead of a highly-anticipated matchup with Nebraska. While Coach Prime had previously stressed the lack of love lost in the Colorado-Nebraska rivalry, he couldn't deny his respect for the Huskers' head coach; and the rest of the guys hired before the 2023 season.

Deion Sanders will always be compared to Auburn's Hugh Freeze, USF's Alex Golesh, Georgia Tech's Brent Key

Sanders may be cheering for the success of his coaching peers, but too much success from the likes of Auburn's Hugh Freeze, USF's Alex Golesh, and Georgia Tech's Brent Key will have those fanbases being thankful they weren't the ones brought "Prime Time" to town. Sanders, after all, was linked to all three jobs.

Freeze's recruiting success already has Tiger fans thinking that. Golesh has the Bulls on the up and up, possibly into a Power 4 conference eventually. Key has keyed the Yellow Jackets to a 2-0 record and had Georgia Tech dubbed a dark horse ACC contender by Nick Saban.

Sanders has a lot of ground to make up on the field and on the recruiting trail to match those success stories, but what he's brought to Boulder beyond the game already has Buffs fans fulfilled with his presence.
