X in disbelief after Coach Prime's claim he wanted more privacy during debut Colorado football season in charge
The X platform was filled with disbelief after Coach Prime claimed in an interview with People Magazine that he got far more attention than he wanted during his first season as head coach of the Colorado football program in 2023.
"You always wish that you had a little more privacy," Sanders tells PEOPLE of the spotlight, "but the same thing that makes you shine will show your blemishes. So, you've got to take the good with the bad. You can't just want everyone there when the hype machine is rolling, you have to understand there's another side to this."
Privacy? From the coach who had cameras rolling during practices, team meetings, and the like? Who invited Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Lil Wayne, and other celebrities for Boulder for a 10 ET matchup with Colorado State?
Apparently. But X wasn't buying it.
X in disbelief over Coach Prime's claim he wanted more privacy during his first Colorado football season
One poster had a clapback to Coach Prime's comments that referenced Deion Sanders Jr.'s constant filming of everything that goes down behind the scenes.
"Deion Sanders' son is the one filming everything inside the building and Colorado locker room for the 'Well Off Media' YouTube channel?! If the Colorado head coach wants more privacy (which he said for a piece IN TIME MAGAZINE) all he has to do is tell his son to stop filming," said the peeved poster.
"So no more cameras or just the Amazon one?" asked another.
"Then he should probably change his 'ain't hard to find' hoodie," said someone with a good point.
"WHAT? The guy who craved this season's attention? I guess he might have to tone down his Mr. T necklace kit," said another out-of-pocket poster.
"Did he reveal it, or did exiting players explain how he was acting like he didn’t want to be bothered?" cracked a highly cynical poster.
Coach Prime asked for this barrage with such an audacious statement.
