Fact check: Bucky, not Deion Sanders, shared strong opinion on Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia
For some reason, there is misinformation going around about Deion Sanders giving love to Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia following a historic Commodores upset over Alabama on October 5. Coach Prime didn't comment on Pavia. But Bucky Sanders, aka Deion Sanders Jr., did.
"Diego Pavia….Bro has an incredible story! He was also supposed to come to Jackson State," Bucky posted on X. "Good game, You deserve it. Congratulations my brother!"
This isn't to say Coach Prime doesn't love Pavia. Who doesn't love a player who helped elevate New Mexico State to the Conference USA title game in 2023 -- after leading the Aggies to a 31-10 win over Auburn in Jordan-Hare Stadium -- that has gone on to the SEC and upset the No. 1-ranked team in the country with a program that hasn't had a winning record since 2013?
But Deion didn't say what the algorithm is pushing as the narrative. His son did.
Week 6 couldn't have gone better for Colorado football
Vanderbilt upsetting Alabama was part of a larger narrative in Week 6 that played into Colorado's hands. With several upsets proving that there are fewer dominant teams in 2024 than was previously thought, the Buffs may be a more important team to the national picture than anyone could've ever imagined.
Colorado may be coming to more than just the tabloid's front pages. With only two games that should worry fans, K-State this coming Saturday and Utah on November 16, a College Football Playoff berth isn't impossible.
It felt like it until the Buffs decimated UCF. Now the Big 12 is within reach and because Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are so good, so is anything else after that.
