Colorado football safety Shilo Sanders is facing a headstrong opponent in court. John Darjean, the man Sanders assaulted during his time at Focus Learning Academy, warned Coach Prime's middle son that he was coming to collect his money.

“I’m not gonna stop until the truth gets out and until I win my $12 million,” Darjean said (h/t USA Today). “They’re trying to make it go away, Deion and Shilo, but I’m going to keep fighting and I won’t ever stop fighting.

“They don’t want the truth to come out, and they’re trying to spin it that I was already injured and he didn’t really do this. It’s a lie. Not one person came and testified on Deion Sanders’ and Shilo Sanders’ behalf. Not one person. And so now they’re trying to get it thrown out in bankruptcy, and I don’t believe that’s gonna happen.”

Darjean revealed that Coach Prime turned on him from a public messaging standpoint after initially seeing his side of the scrap.

“Deion was adamant I didn’t do anything wrong,” Darjean prefaced before saying, “But then he changed his story.”

Shilo Sanders has dark shadow cast on his final season with Colorado football

Coach Prime said that the end of the 2023 season, when he was going through a breakup with Tracey Edmonds and not excelling at coaching for the first time in his first Power 5 season as a head coach, it was the toughest time of his life.

Undoubtedly, Shilo is going through his time right now.

Between a shoulder injury he has yet to admit will cost him games during the season and Darjean's pursuit of a massive settlement, Shilo is seeing (presumably) his final season at CU and his NFL showcase clouded with questions.

Overcome it all somehow and deliver in big moments, and Shilo will be a Buffs legend in his first and last Big 12 season. But that looks like a daunting task right now, to say the least.
