National insider predicts Colorado football will lose as touchdown-favorite to CSU

ON3 analyst has more faith in Jay Norvell for Saturday's clash as he picks CSU above Deion Sanders' CU Buffs. Here's why.

Most are bullish on Colorado football bouncing back against CSU following a 28-10 loss to Nebraska. JD Pickell, however, went down the road less traveled. The On3 analyst believes that CSU will have the upper hand in Saturday's clash with a predicted score of 31-24.

"I don't think that either side blows the other unless Colorado hits the reset button and plays great offensively. That's a possibility. But I'm picking Colorado State," Pickell said in his prediction video on September 12.

Well, the possibility the Rams win has believers. Even Kevin Lytle of the Coloradoan " firmly believes that CSU could get this one," and that the "Boulder team is a paper tiger."

The only thing holding him back from proudly picking the Rams is the lack of any recent big wins on Jay Norvell's record. So, instead, he is in a "prove it to me mode" with CSU.

CSU is fooling around this time

The last time CU and CSU battled, the Buffs snagged a win that many believed would be an easy one for the Rams in the first half. Ever since, the players have a sense of revenge brewing in them, which they are bringing in Saturday's clash in full force, and they have made it loud and clear.

CSU QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi had some pretty rough words (many called it a reality check) for Deion Sanders' days ahead of their clash.

"They came out with that attitude and thought it was going to be a cakewalk," he said to Romi Bean of CBS Colorado (h/t Sports Illustrated).

"They got a rude, rude awakening real quick. I think it goes to show the hype, the media train, all that only gets you so far. At the end of the day, you have to line up 11 guys against our 11 guys and we'll find out who wants it more. We'll see how far Instagram followers gets them."

Looks like Deion Sanders will address that sass directly at Fort Collins as he's refusing to engage with the Rams.
