Nine-year NFL OL rips hype for clip featuring Colorado football QB Shedeur Sanders
Nine-year NFL veteran offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz ripped a clip that got millions of views on X featuring Colorado football QB Shedeur Sanders being chased down by a defender -- who didn't tackle him due to it being spring practice but would have in a real-time situation -- before completing a pass to transfer WR LaJohntay Wester.
"Perfect Colorado hype clip … there’s a free defender who is going to hit the QB in his back," Schwartz prefaced before saying, "The defender gets to the QB so quickly he’s multiple steps beyond him when the ball is released. But hey, great throw and catch!"
In truth, the clip should've never been hyped in the first place because of everything Schwartz called out about it. The overhauled CU offensive line clearly faltered in pass-protection, and if anything, the defender getting to the ball so quick was the highlight; not the completed pass.
Colorado football QB Shedeur Sanders took shot at members of 2023 Buffs
It's unclear if Shedeur was talking about his former teammates who've since departed to the transfer portal or any former coaches who have moved on from the University of Colorado, but Sanders took a shot at members of the 2023 team by insinuating there were people who were "delusional" and didn't know how to win.
“This year I feel like everybody really understands that we’re all trying to get to the next level, and we’re all trying to win,” Sanders said (h/t BuffZone). “You’ve got to have a lot of like-minded people around and not delusional people. You’ve got to have people to actually know what it’s gonna take to be able to even have a chance to play the next level or even have a chance to win a lot of games that we’re gonna win this year.”
Colorado's locker room may not have delusional people in it anymore, but the same cannot be said about Buffs Twitter apparently.
