As Shannon Sharpe lists his complaints on Colorado football, Deion Sanders still won't budge

"Still can't stop the run, can't consistently pressure the quarterback, and they're struggling to protect their own QB."

Those were Shannon Sharpe's three major "concerning" reasons he's worried about Deion Sanders' Colorado football program this season, as he iterated them on ESPN's First Take (h/t Marca).

Well, Colorado's embarrassing 28-10 performance against Nebraska in Week 2 brought them to the light, since they got buried somewhere in the flashing lights of the Buffs' win against North Dakota State.

It was havoc, to put it mildly, thanks to their non-existent running game -- with only seven yards on four carries in the first half-- and an equally mediocre "revamped" OL, which allowed six sacks through the night.

Deion Sanders has a gameplan his Colorado football team thoroughly trusts

Saturday Night was the first hit to Deion Sanders's "definite" CFB dream spot and Coach Prime knows it all too well, he is the head coach after all.

"We’re 1-1, and you want a bunch of changes?" Sanders bluntly asked every critic saying that their offensive line doesn't look as "revamped" as he promised.

"Before you guys even sense it, I’m out there at practice every day. I’m watching film every day. I’m falling asleep watching darn tape, so and I’m going over all the practice grades as well as game grades, and seeing what we got ahead of us and what we did today."

"So we have a lot of knowledge in house that you guys aren’t privy to, that we get to see tape every day. So when we make a change or we don’t, there’s reason, and sometimes you got to trust that we’re in the inside," Coach Prime concluded, giving an answer that would buy Colorado Buffs some time (and the hope of the Buffs) until their next clash against the Colorado State, who surprisingly, is also 1-1. It will be a make-or-break deal in Week's Rocky Mountain Showdown.

The fans' only concern would be Shedeur Sanders not giving up on the game with two minutes left on the clock like he did against Nebraska. While a QB leaving the field mid-game is criminally inexcusable, Coach Prime had an answer (more like an excuse) for it as well.

"Really, accountability, understanding there’s urgency. That was the challenge today. So that’s how we’re going about it. We are holding everybody accountable, including myself, in a sense of urgency." Sanders said.

We're just two games into the season, and games are already getting pivotal for Colorado. All the drama aside, Deion Sanders and Co. would need to crack this clash in order to get a head start in their conference clashes.
