September 28 was not a good day for Cam Newton. In a rather strange event, the former Carolina Panthers QB was shut off by the Colorado Buffs' top two stars.

In a rather brow-raising event, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter both rejected what appeared to be a good luck handshake from Newton pre-game. The video of Hunter abruptly leaving with a rather frustrated wave-off when he saw Newton approaching him had just started gaining traction when the video of Shedeur's exchange with Cam went viral.

The QB too humbly denied a conversation with Newton pre-game and walked away. Newton, who arrived at Colorado's 48-21 rout of UCF in a golf cart all excited and cheerful, appeared dejected by the action.

Romi Bean, a die-hard CU fan and a CBS reporter, tweeted that Hunter had reportedly told Newton to kick rocks, twice. Now, no one knows if all this was just joking around or something serious, as Bean also pointed out.

Is there some beef between Shedeur Sanders and Cam Newton?

With the videos all over social media, fans were quick to assume that there was some secret beef brewing up between Cam Newton and the two. Hunter was quick to bury the hatchet with another video of him having a nice conversation, all motivational words and smiles, with Newton, and the two even sharing an embrace.

However, the question still remains about Sanders' actions. Was the QB also joking around with Newton, or just fooling around? Since Hunter appeared to be joking with Newton in the first clip, fans best believe that Sanders was also onto something similar. However, no video of the same has surfaced.

So, is there really some beef between Shedeur and Cam? We'll know shortly, most probably in their next podcast episodes.
