Remember just a few days before their clash with CU, when the Rams players wanted to test, "how far Instagram followers get them?" LaJohntay Wester, the star of the 2024 Rocky Mountain Showdown, paired with Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, had the perfect response for those words, burning enough to make them eat their words.

"Ya'll know how to run Colorado," Wester said with a proud, proud smirk. "The silence says," he added as Hunter and Sanders sashayed in the back. Not being able to hold it in anymore, Hunter chipped in saying, "Them Instagram followers got us far today, ya heard."

Adding salt to the wound, Shedeur Sanders said, "Them Instagram followers man, we won AND we got more Instagram followers."

Touché Shedeur!

Deion Sanders adds to the shame of the CSU Rams

Although CSU Rams might be super-pumped to break the Rocky Mountain rivalry losing streak when throwing direct shade at Colorado in their interview, they did not think of 'what if things go left', clearly.

Now, as everybody is coming at them with their equally sassy response backed by a solid 28-9 victory, Deion Sanders is not staying silent either. However, being the head coach, Sanders took a matured road, as compared to Hunter and his son, to make the CSU players further embarrassed.

"Who does that?" Sanders said in his presser with his hands in the air. "I wouldn't allow my kids to do that. And ya'll know that."

Now, Sanders had some serious questions for Norvell directly.

"But when you allow the kids to sit in an interview, and talk against us, and you just got beat by 50 something in week 1? Come on, dwag."

The next time they face Colorado, their rivals will sing a different tune and save the pre-game bravado before it turns into another PR disaster.
