Colorado football GA Warren Sapp was reportedly narrating a fight between former special teams coordinator Trevor Reilly and GA Josh Jynes; this, at least, according to security footage viewed by Athlon Sports' Steve Corder.

"In a recent interview with Athlon Sports’ Colorado Buffaloes publisher Steve Corder, ex-Buffaloes assistant coach Trevor Reilly revealed he got into a fistfight on campus with one of his former peers shortly after tendering his resignation from the program in early August," Corder prefaced before saying, "Video of the incident between Reilly and graduate assistant Josh Jynes was captured by security cameras and viewed by Athlon. In the video, a giddy Buffaloes assistant coach Warren Sapp narrates the incident, making light of the situation by providing blow-by-blow commentary."

Reilly recently left the program and his resignation letter revealed that he had traveled to Saudi Arabia to pursue NIL funding from the PIF. He had reportedly been itching to tell reporters what had transpired on campus in the aftermath of his departure.

This fight was clearly the story, and his spin on it was clearly important for Reilly to get out to the public. The former NFL linebacker mixed it up with Jynes, a former Buffs OL.

Warren Sapp continues bad PR run with Colorado football

Sapp has not had the best run in Boulder from a PR perspective.

Forget about his past before his hiring. Since becoming a Buffs senior quality control analyst, Sapp has made references to guns amid a report claiming there was a gun problem in the locker room. Now, he is being outed for taking delight in two of his peers fighting.

For someone who may have a coaching future due to his development of a Colorado defensive line that looks much improved from 2023, Sapp is doing too much to stop his ascension.
