During an intimate moment shared on Deion Sanders Jr.'s Well Off Media Youtube Channel, Warren Sapp sent a loving message on Deion Sanders after Coach Prime helped the legendary DL land a job on his Colorado football staff.

“I love this man to death from the first time I saw him… I’ve been a Deion Sanders fan since I was 12 years old," Sapp said (h/t Essentially Sports). "So we all here for the man. Let’s go riding. Championship time!“

Sapp will be a senior quality control analyst on the Buffs' 2024 staff; just in time for all support staff personnel in college football receiving a bigger on-field role.

Deion Sanders fought hard to get Warren Sapp on Colorado football staff

As of January, it seemed as though Sapp's hiring was never going to be confirmed by the University of Colorado Boulder's brain trust due to his troubled past.

"There have been no conversations about hiring Warren Sapp for an assistant coach position at the University of Colorado," said Steve Hurlbert, spokesman for CU Boulder (h/t USA Today).

USA Today's Brent Schrotenboer added damning context that had this writer thinking Sapp's arrival was DOA.

"Sapp also has another history, involving violence against women, that has raised concerns in Colorado at the same time, leading to questions about his hiring there and how the university would address it after a previous scandal there led to pledges of no tolerance for domestic violence," Schrotenboer wrote. "In 2017, Colorado’s then-head coach, athletic director and chancellor were punished after an investigation found they mishandled domestic violence allegations involving a previous assistant football coach."

Despite CU receiving negative press from local domestic abuse advocacy groups, Sanders was able to hire his friend and overcome Colorado's leadership.

Sapp owes quite a bit to Coach Prime during his debut season in Boulder, but his introductory speech definitely gives the impression that he already understands that loud and clear.
