When I saw the news that Chidobe Awuzie signed with the Baltimore Ravens, I couldn’t help but smile. Awuzie has been one of my all-time favorite Colorado Buffaloes, and seeing him continue his NFL journey—especially with a contender like Baltimore—is a win for Buffs fans everywhere.

Awuzie’s time in Tennessee didn’t go as planned. After signing a three-year deal with the Titans, injuries kept him off the field for much of the 2024 season, leading to his release. But if there’s one thing we know about Chido, it’s that he is a fighter.

Baltimore is the perfect landing spot for him. The Ravens have a strong defensive culture, and playing alongside Marlon Humphrey and rookie Nate Wiggins will give Awuzie a real chance to bounce back. He’s a veteran with playoff experience and, if healthy, still one of the more underrated corners in the league.

As a Buffs fan, I’ll always root for Awuzie. From his lockdown coverage in Boulder to his Super Bowl run with the Bengals, he’s been a player who represents what it means to be a Buff—grit, passion, and resilience. Now, he gets a shot at redemption in Baltimore. Here’s hoping he proves Tennessee wrong and shows the AFC North that he’s still got plenty left in the tank.
