NJ.com's Darryl Slater expects major movement at the top of the NFL draft this coming April, with several teams potentially positioning themselves to trade up to the top pick to land either Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward.

"The Jaguars surely won’t draft a quarterback to replace Trevor Lawrence, especially since this quarterback draft class is not considered elite. The Raiders definitely could pick a quarterback. And we know the Giants will draft a quarterback high, barring a crazy development. Would the Jaguars be willing to trade down? Any quarterback-needy team could make the jump to No. 1, in order to lock in the right to get its preferred quarterback. The Jets and Titans emerged from Sunday’s games sixth and seventh in the draft order — and both could draft a quarterback. Would either be willing to trade all the way up to No. 1? That remains unclear," Slater wrote.

"But if the Giants wind up at No. 3 (behind, say, the Raiders), they could perhaps trade up two spots and be sure they’ll get the quarterback they most desire."

Shedeur has seemingly shown interest in the NY Giants but has been fairly obvious about his desire to end up with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Ward, on the other hand, has not given any indication one way or another where he leans. Scouts may view the Miami star as the superior option due to a lack of negative players relative to the "Grown QB."

Either way, both will be top-five, if not top-two, picks in the draft.
