The Cleveland Browns are going to have some decisions to make in their QB room this preseason. With Deshaun Watson expected to miss another season after re-tearing his Achilles, the Browns currently have four QBs on the roster vying for the starting job in 2025.

They have veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, who are the two most likely starters in Cleveland this season. But the Browns also drafted two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft: Oregon's Dillon Gabriel and Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.

The Browns will enter the fast-approaching preseason with four quarterbacks, but they won't bring all four into the season. They will likely have two, at most three, quarterbacks on the roster this season. With one of the veterans likely to get the starting nod, it could come down to which rookie shows he most promise in training camp to determine who they keep, and who they look to trade or outright cut.

Dawg Pound Daily's Mark Sipos examined trade scenarios for all four Browns quarterbacks, and the potential landing spot for Sanders could put him in a better situation.

The Los Angeles Rams are listed as the best fit for Shedeur Sanders

If Sanders isn't going to win the Browns' starting QB job - and that certainly remains to be seen - there are better situations for him to end up in than being a backup in Cleveland.

One such spot would be in Los Angeles with the Rams, as Sipos writes:

"Matthew Stafford is still capable, but the Rams don’t have a clear succession plan. Sanders could sit behind him, learn the nuances of Sean McVay’s system, and grow into a potential starter down the line. His timing-based game and quick release would fit the scheme, and there’d be no pressure to play early."

Learning behind a veteran like Stafford, who is still one of the best signal-callers in the NFL, would be big for Sanders' development. Sean McVay is one of the brightest offensive minds in football, and as Sipos points out, his scheme could be a glove-like fit to best take advantage of Sanders' skill set.

Of course, the Rams had multiple opportunities to take Sanders in the NFL Draft and chose not to, so it remains to be seen whether they would have any interest in the former Colorado QB. He should have an opportunity in Training Camp and in the preseason to recover some of his value, proving that he's either the franchise QB for the Browns or doing enough to entice another team to make a move to land him.
